SQUARE!
Mini Art Show
at Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea
located at 102 North Murphy Road, Suite 1021, Murphy, Texas 75094.
THEME: SQUARE! This exhibition will feature any style of art that is made in square dimensions. What can you do with a square canvas, square paper or other square surface? Let's see your creativity! Because of the family-friendly nature of the venue, please be aware that nudes and controversial subjects can't be accepted. Submit your best work for this free mini-art show.
PAA has introduced a theme-based submission to keep the show interesting and uniform. Entries will be accepted at the link given in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Photography, and Mixed Media.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Deadline to submit: May 1, 2024, midnight, CST
- Artwork Delivery: May 6, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Members with art in the previous exhibition must pick it at this time.
- Artwork Pick-Up: June 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
SUBMISSION RULES: Submission is only for current PAA members. Only 1-2 artworks per member will be accepted for this exhibit depending on the total submissions. A total of only 29 entries can be accepted and it will be on first-come first-serve basis. All works must be the original concept of the artist.
ART PRESENTATION: All submitted works should be framed and ready-to-hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame. Saw hook hanging will not be accepted. No relief or protruding artwork can be accepted. Artworks which don’t comply with the hanging, size and theme requirement will not be accepted. Plexiglass is preferred to glass in frames.
ALLOWED SIZES: Maximum size including the frame = 22"x22"
FEES: There is no fee to submit to these monthly exhibits. PAA retains 20% commission from all sales generated through the show. Pieces must have value of at least $100. Art must remain in the cafe for the duration of the exhibition. Sales are handled by PAA in the online store.

Plano Art Association (PAA) is not responsible for any damage, breakage, replacement or cost associated with any damage or breakage.Photos of damages upon receipt will be promptly sent to artists. Every precaution will be taken in handling the entries, but PAA assumes no liability for any loss or damage to any artist’s work while in our care, custody or control, before, during or after the exhibition. Each artist, if they wish, should provide their own insurance.
USE OF IMAGES:
Any image submitted may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to this show or future shows without further remuneration to the artist. This use may include publication in any publications, printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.
